Political Statement for 2012

My goodness! There is a reason that when you vote it is done in a booth and you do not have to disclose your reason or who you voted for. Voting is part of being American and making your voice (vote) heard. Do I think it is a important? Yes, I do. I also think jury duty is equally important, if your are given the task or opportunity. Boom! So make your vote count and vote for who you want as long as you go out and do it. I must say that every year around this time; I think of teachers like Mrs. Bavetta and Ms. Holli West. These teachers provided me the knowledge and understanding that we have these rights, and we need to use them. We cannot complain or change something, if we do not go out and vote. That is the end of my political soap box. GO VOTE. Hope your having a great day.

Say Hello to Gordon

We are the new owners of a goat and we call him Gordon the Goat. He is was born on the Fourth of July and and is a Nigerian Dwarf goat. Some say we bought him to help my hubby mow the lawn and they would be correct. Gordon makes a great addition to our home. We are looking to add to his little goat family but right now he is stag. We keep him company, and love to sit out in the back yard and feed him a few carrots, an apple, and an occasional  cracker. When we give him a cracker, he starts getting a little more excitable if he gets one, so it is a definite treat. He has found himself a few places to stand that I was unaware he would like, yet some how I knew a goat would find their way to my window. I am starting Window Wednesday photos and hopefully will be able to remember in November but what a way to kick them off by seeing Gordon.

October Tag

I used the metal tag and the crumbled tissue
 paper background.
I also love the Stickles bright
 colors, so instead of making
my own glitter colors, I used what I had.

Well, I finally sat down and did my Tim Holtz inspired tag for October. I could not just make one tag so the other one is on here too!  I also had to add just a little bit of what I learned in last months tag and incorporated it in.The riveted metal at the bottom just helped me get into the moment of tag making this month.

I cannot believe we are almost at the end of October. I have a few posts that will be following soon about goats, fall decor, bonfire parties and vending at craft fairs. So enjoy the tags and look for the upcoming posts. Happy Fall and have fun crafting!

I love this one. I ended up putting ink on a small piece
of bubble wrap and just had so much fun with the cool
background.
